Rains Besiege Redbank Road

Redbank Road has again suffered due to heavy rains, Count on 2 News reported.

Water has pushed the road up, crumbling portions of asphalt. 

Berkeley County Water and Sanitation released a statement to the television news agency:

BCWS has brought all resources to bear on containing the damage, safely diverting the traffic flow around the affected area, and repairing the roadway. BCWS is pursuing solutions to the problem by looking at hydrology modeling to better balance system pressures and examining epoxy coating technology that can seal manhole interiors. Every reasonable effort is being made to find a quick and effective solution.
