Sedgefield Student Attends Presidential Inauguration
Christina 'Dani' DuBois is experiencing the 57th presidential inauguration firsthand.

Press Release, Berkeley County School District
Sedgefield Middle seventh grader Christina “Dani” DuBois is experiencing the 57th presidential inauguration firsthand.
On Friday, Jan. 18, Dani left for the nation’s capital, where she and other select students from across the country participated in the prestigious Middle School Presidential Inaugural Conference. The Middle School Presidential Inaugural Conference is a five-day program that provides scholars with a deeper understanding of the history behind the electoral process and the rich traditions surrounding the inauguration. The Inaugural Scholars heard about growing up in the first family from former first daughters Barbara Pierce Bush and Jenna Bush Hager, explore the numerous historic sites and memorials in the nation’s capital, and participate in activities designed to expand their knowledge of democratic principles and the presidential election process.
