What would make you shop at an area farmers market more often or try one for the first time?

Spring is not far off, and cities and towns in the tricounty will reopen their farmers markets.

Farmers markets have become popular in recent years with foodie trends and trends in shopping local.Β 

Summerville's farmers market opens in April, but an indoor farmers market has sprouted at Coastal Coffee Roasters every Saturday. Downtown Charleston's and Mount Pleasant's markets also reopens in April. West Ashley's farmers market begins in June.Β

North Charleston's farmers market at Park CircleΒ is open 2-7 p.m. every Thursday.Β 

With all these offerings, there are also private farmers markets throughout the Charleston area.
