Speak Out: Dealing with Pollen Season

The weather is just asking for you to roll down the windows in the car and open the windows of your home. But don't do it — unless you're fond of the powdery green substance coating just about everything. 

Welcome to Pollen Season. According to Weather.com, pollen is in high counts this week as pine, oak and birch trees release the messy green stuff into the air — causing much woe to allergy sufferers. 

It could be worse, the Charleston tricounty area is merely experiencing "high" pollen. We could be facing "very high" pollen like Swisher, Iowa, or Corpus Christi, Texas.
