Stun Gun-Toting Teen Arrested After Allegedly Bringing Inoperative Weapon to School

Berkeley County Sheriff's Office charge Rebecca Mitchell of Goose Creek with carrying a weapon on school property.

A Goose Creek High student is facing charges of bringing a weapon to school after she allegedly told school authorities she had an inoperative stun gun in her purse.

Rebecca Alley Mitchell, 18, of Goose Creek was arrested Wednesday after a Tuesday incident where she allegedly tried to leave campus. Authorities allegedly found two lighters in her possession (a school violation), and Mitchell allegedly told them she also had a stun gun in her purse.
