Goose Creek Police caught a 16-year-old boy allegedly "mooning" vehicles on Westview Boulevard around 11 a.m. Monday.
A driver who witnessed the teen's indecent exposure — mooning is when a person pulls down his or her pants and displays the buttocks — followed the teen as he was driven by a friend to nearby Hunter Woods, according to the incident report. There, the driver waited with the teen until police arrived.
The driver said he would not press charges so long as the teen's mother promised to discipline him over the incident. The mother did, and no charges were filed.

In South Carolina, if a person is charged and convicted of indecent exposure, he or she will become a registered sex offender, according to Lt. Keith Ott of Goose Creek Police Department.
