Was Electrocuted Man Attempting to Steal Copper?
Zachary Jones was electrocuted Sunday night, causing a power outage.
Was the man found electrocuted to death in Cainhoy attempting to steal copper from the power substation? Was there someone with him that made off with 50 pounds of copper?
Berkeley County Sheriff's Office officials told Live 5 News that 50 pounds of copper was missing from the power substation.
. The cause of death was ruled accidental, and the electrocution caused a power outage for surrounding homes.

Capt. Ric Ollic with the sheriff's office says it appeared someone was helping Zachary Jones of Salters steal copper before he was electrocuted.
