Rep. Garry Smith to Visit Israel in December

State Rep. Garry R. Smith (R-27) will be in Israel from Dec. 4-8 and while there he will meet with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and members of the Knesset. Smith's trip comes after he helped sponsor legislation this summer that recognizies the bond between South Carolina and Israel. The bill can be viewed here.

Smith also learned that he had been named to the following committees for the State Assembly's upcoming session in January:

• Ways and Means Committee
• Higher Education Subcommittee
• Sales and Income Tax Subcommittee
