At Bethel Elementary and Mauldin Middle School This Week
Teacher of the Year and Back to School dance are among the highlights

It’s a big week at Mauldin schools as classes begin on Wednesday morning. Here is a look at other important announcements at Mauldin schools this week:
Bethel Elementary
- Bethel Elementary is proud to announce our 2011-12 Teacher of the Year…Julianne Kaye.
- If you are interested in volunteering at Bethel, please contact Stephanie Yearwood at 421-7232 or glocksandthe3bears@gmail.com.
- Volunteer Orientations (Choose one) August 30 at 6:30 pm or August 31 at 9:30 am.
- 5th Grade Washington, DC trip- parent meeting on August 29 at 6:00 pm.
- Box Top collections are due no later than August 25.
- Boosterthon Fun Run Program is coming to Bethel. This nine-day fundraiser promotes fitness, leadership, and character. The event will kick off with a school-wide Pep Rally on September 6 and conclude on September 15 with the Boosterthon Fun Run Event.

- Tuesday 9:30-10:30 a.m. - New student orientation for rising 6th graders who did not attend orientation in the spring are invited to attend this orientation.
- Tuesday 6:45 p.m. - Sixth graders and their parents are invited to attend the PTA meeting and Open House.
- Friday - Summer Reading ends. Summer Reading logs are due in the library today.
- Friday 6-8:00 p.m. – Back to School Dance. The dance will be held in the cafeteria. Only MMS students are allowed to attend. Please make sure your ride is here to pick you up on time.
