Boeing Exec to Headline State Manufacturing Event
General manager of Boeing's SC plant will address the 2013 Salute to Manufacturing gathering in Greenville next month.

The leader of Boeing's new 787 Dreamliner plant in North Charleston will be the featured guest when manufacturers across the state assemble next month in Greenville.
Jack Jones, Boeing's SC vice president and general manger, will keynote the 2013 Salute to Manufacturing Luncheon, which is scheduled for March 21 at the TD Convention Center in Greenville.
Jones will address an expected gathering of hundreds of manufacturing industry, business, civic and political leaders from across the state at the annual luncheon, at which three companies will be honored from among eleven statewide finalists for the 2013 Silver Crescent Awards for Manufacturing Excellence — the most prestigious award a South Carolina manufacturer can receive.
Before joining the Boeing South Carolina team in March 2011, Jones served as vice president of Boeing’s Everett (Wash.) Delivery Center, overseeing Airplane-on-Ground, Paint, Pre-Flight and Delivery operations for a variety of Boeing wide-body models assembled there. He has also served as Director of 747 and 767 Manufacturing, and as Everett site Fuselage Responsibility Center Director, since beginning his Boeing career as an industrial engineer in 1980.
Boeing is among those manufacturers in the state in the running for the coveted Silver Crescent.
