Gov. Rick Perry to Make an Appearance in Gray Court on Tuesday

Perry is expected to roll out his flat tax plan during the campaign stop.

Presidential hopeful and Texas Gov. Rick Perry will unveil the next part of his jobs and economic plan during a stop in the Upstate.

The Perry campaign announced on Friday that Perry would speak at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 25, at ISO Poly Films in Gray Court. Perry has rolled out a flat tax plan as part of his economic recovery plan.

This will be Perry's first trip to the Upstate since Aug. 20, just a short time after announcing his run for president in Charleston during the national RedState Gathering. His wife, Anita, visited Greenville last week.

Three months from today South Carolina will hold the “First in the South “ primary and thus far, candidate stops have been few and far between.

Perry has taken a tumble in recent polls, with only nine percent of voters saying they would support him. He currently is in third place behind Herman Cain and Mitt Romney, respectively.
