Graham Calls on Romney to Talk Foreign Policy

While the economy continues to move forward in fits and starts, South Carolina's senior senator has called on the presumptive Republican presidential nominee to talk more about foreign policy.

In a conversation with The Hill political blog, Lindsay Graham urged Mitt Romney to challenge President Barack Obama more on how the United States has responded to the so-called "Arab Spring."

Traditionally, foreign policy has been a strong issue in presidential races for the GOP, but Obama, though criticized by some for his Israel policy, has received high marks for his handling of the capture and killing of Osama Bin Laden and the ouster of dictators Muammar Gaddafi and Hosni Mubarak in Libya and Egypt, respectively.

Still, Graham felt there was an opening for criticism of Obama for his reluctance to arm rebels in Syria. Graham also said he's been disappointed with the lack of discussion about foreign affairs in general.

Though , Graham is not the first Palmetto State politician to criticize the former Massachusetts governor in recent days. Last week, Rep. Tim Scott in his campaign to unseat Obama.

Neither Graham nor Scott endorsed a candidate for president.
