Local Musician Loses Home, Pets in Fire

World-renowned pianist Emile Pandolfi and his family escaped the blaze by using an extension ladder.

A Christmas day fire left a Greenville musician and his family homeless.

According to WYFF-TV, the home of world-renowned pianist Emile Pandolfi caught fire around 11 a.m. on Sunday on Roper Mountain Road.

The article said Pandolfi and  his family were able to escape without injury using an extension ladder, but that two pets perished in the fire.
