For Rising Seniors! Summer Seniors at USC
High achieving African-American rising seniors may apply to attend the Summer Seniors at USC program and spend four days learning and living on USC's campus July 11 - 14. The experience is free to accepted participants who will learn how to navigate the college selection process even if the student does not plan to attend USC. Application deadline is June 8, 2012. Attention 2012-13 AP Psychology Students!
There are 150 students enrolled in AP Psych and currently only 125 textbooks. The funding for purchasing additional books has been postponed. Students may want to purchase a copy for their use. Possible sources are Amazon.com, ebay, etc. Prices are $3 for a used textbook to $20 for a new textbook. Benefits to having your own textbook are:
-Highlighting important points
-Writing in margins

Seniors, Clear Those Debts!
Seniors must return all textbooks, library books and clear all debts (fines, lost locks, senior dues, etc.) to participate in the graduation ceremony. Last day to clear debts is Tuesday, May 29th. CASH ONLY and exact change is appreciated.

Dress Code for Graduation
Ladies –Dresses (limit what can be seen from under the gown) and black dress shoes (no tennis shoes).
Gentlemen – Dress pants (khakis are ok), dark dress shoes (no tennis shoes, flip flops, or light colored Sperry shoes), a tie and light colored dress shirt with a collar.
No student can wear any cord, medal etc., unless it is academic and issued by Mauldin High.

Important Survey for Seniors
The Greenville County Online Survey is due May 25th. Please go online and fill out that form, you can find the survey athttp://www.zoomerang.com/Survey/WEB22FERGLHGMA. After reading the instructions, click on “Start Survey”. Only complete one survey.
The survey that Mrs. Dalton Kelsey gave you last week needs to be turned in by May 18th; you can drop that survey off in the front of guidance. This information will allow Mrs. Dalton Kelsey to release your final transcript. If you misplaced the survey, please go to the yahoo files area to retrieve the paperwork. Thank you!

Medications in the Health Room – Pick up by June 1st!
Parents must pick up medications in the health room before the last day of school (June 1st). Any leftover medications will be destroyed over the summer. New medication forms are available under Printable Forms on the MHS website for next year. No 2012-2013 school year medications will be accepted without the properly completed forms. Students are not allowed to carry any over-the-counter or prescription medicine without the properly completed forms. Reminder, for your child's safety, prescription medications that cause drowsiness must be taken at home, not at school.

Parking Pass for 2012-13 (Clear Any Debts!)
All rising 10th -12th graders must return all textbooks, library books and clear all debts to purchase a parking pass for 2012-13. Last day to clear debts is May 31st at noon. Debts may be cleared during the summer on Mondays 9-1 in the media center beginning June 12th.  CASH ONLY and exact change is appreciated.

Mauldin High School New Student Pre-Enrollment for 2012-13 School Year
Mauldin High School will begin pre-enrolling new students for the 2012-2013 school year on May 1. Students who are new to the district and the Mauldin High School attendance area are allowed to enroll for the next school year during this time. Please contact the guidance department at 355-6655 for additional information.
