Mauldin Student Earns Merit Scholarship

One of three in the county.

Greenville County Schools have announced that three students in the system have been named as recipients of the prestigious National Merit Scholarship.

Laura Woodlee is one of the three and will use the award of between $500-$2,000 to study Environmental Science & Biology at the University of South Carolina. Laura was one of 2,500 winners nationwide. Another group will be named in July.

The two other winners were: Shannon R. Hood of Southside High Academy and Lindsay N. Melton of J.L. Mann High Academy
