Representatives with the feature film "Ugly" have confirmed that Mauldin will be one of the locations where the film will be shot.
The film stars Chip Days, who was a contestant on the second season of American Idol and was nominated for a Grammy this year. He is also a native of Hartsville, SC.
Co-starring with Days is platinum recording artist DJ Unk and Monica "Danger" Leon.
