Tuesday night the weekly Mauldin Chamber of Commerce event Business After Hours was held at Musical Innovations on Tanner Road. Guests were treated to food from Sonic, plenty of sweets and, of course, music.
Musical Innovations has been at the Tanner Road location for about two years. Owner Tracy Leenman said the site basically picked her as it is centrally located to a number of schools with strong music programs.
Leenman, who hails from Plainview, N.Y., taught music in Greenville for 15 years. After taking some time off to be a mom, Leenman opened Musical Innovations. She said the business fills two needs, the first of which is knowledge to pass on to other musicians. “Everyone who works here is a degreed musical educator,” Leenman said.
