Police: Basketball Game Leads to Brawl Between Brothers
A tussle on the court leads to a heated fight back at home.

Police had to be called to a Mauldin home over the weekend after a basketball game between two brothers escalated into a fight that nearly took a baton and a Taser to break up, a police report said.
The two brothers, ages 20 and 17, told police they were playing a game of basketball when the younger brother accidentally struck the older brother and split his lip open, the report said.
An argument over the injury ensued once the two got home, with the older brother telling police that he threw a punch at his brother and started the fight, the report said.
The younger brother also alleged his older brother began trashing their room and threw a Playstation 3 at him, striking him in the head, the report said. The fight escalated and led outside prompting a call to police.
When police arrived they found the younger brother agitated and sweating profusely and ripping the grass out of the ground, while the older brother was found sitting in an open second-story window of the home, the report said.
A police officer said he had to put his hands on the younger brother's chest repeatedly as he attempted to go after his brother, the report said. The older brother then jumped from the second-story window and started approaching, causing the officer to draw his baton and call for backup, the report said.
Things only began to cool off once a second officer arrived and threatened to use a Taser on the younger brother, who then backed down from his fighting stance, the report said.
Once officers got both sides of the story, the brothers agreed not to press charges, but told police they would just start fighting again once they left, the report said. After reaching the brothers' father, he told the younger brother to go inside, and the older brother to go to a friend's house to cool off, the report said.
