Police: 'Incorrigible' Teen Responsible for Home Damage

Teen allegedly does $1,000 in damage before running away from home.

A 15-year-old Mauldin boy is being held responsible for causing around $1,000 in damage to his parents' home after being confronted over allegedly having drugs and stolen alcohol, a police incident report said.

After a parent found the contraband and confronted the boy about it, the youth allegedly became irate, punching several holes in the wall and destroying other property in the home, the report said.

A parent said the boy and another teen whom was unknown to the parents then fled the house, running away, without any known destination, cell phone or money to subsist on, the report said.

The parent advised that the boy was already on house arrest for a prior burglary and was not allowed to go more than 1,000 feet from his home.

At the time of the report, the teen had not yet been located.
