POLL: Should Garnett Hang 'Em Up?

Since his to Miami last week in the Eastern Conference Finals, Kevin Garnett has been a popular topic of conversation. 

It's the Big Ticket's future that has Internet message boards buzzing. After finishing his fifth season with the Celtics, Garnett is now an unrestricted free agent, which means he can sign a contract with any team he likes. Or he can re-sign with Boston. Or Garnett, who turned 36 in May, can call it a career. Any of the options seems possible.

After being switched to center by Boston Coach Doc Rivers in midseason, Garnett surged, averaging 15.8 points per game, his best output since 2008-2009. In the Celtics surprising playoff run, Garnett was Celtics go-to player in the clutch and he upped his averages to 19 points and 10 rebounds.

But with fellow Celtic (and thirtysomething) Ray Allen also a free agent, a return to Boston means he'll be with a team in transition, not the ideal scenario for Garnett. 

Still his playoff performance showed that he is still a productive player, with a young team (like Oklahoma City, Memphis, Atlanta) he could be the type of veteran to help advance them to the next level.

If Garnett did choose to retire, he would be doing so while performing at a high level and, while not going out on top, he'd be coming pretty close.
