Ralph Anderson Feted by Colleagues

Greenville delegation recognizes on of its own.

On Monday evening the Greenville County delegation to the state assembly presented outgoing District 7 Senator Ralph Anderson with the Chairman's Award.

In a ceremony prior to the quarterly meeting of the Greenville delegation to the South Carolina legislature, Mike Fair, Senator from District 6 and chair of the group, presented Anderson with a plaque.

Earlier this spring, Anderson announced he would not seek a fifth term. He endorsed Karl Allen to replace him, a move that was pivotal to Allen winning the Democratic nomination over Lillian Brock-Flemming in the primary last month. Allen will face Republican Jane Kizer in November.
