Greenville County Sheriff's Office has asked the public for assistance in locating Patrick Lowrance of Duncan in relation to an attempted armed robbery at the Wendy's, located at 30 Henrydale Avenue in Greenville on Oct. 23, 2011.
Chief Terri Wilfong of Greenville Police said Lowrance is the same man who fired on officers this morning at Berkley Pointe Apartments.
On Oct. 23, deputies said Lowrance entered the business about 11:30 p.m. armed with a weapon and made three employees lay on the floor.
Employees told deputies that Lowrance wanted to know where the safe was kept and who had the combination. The victims replied that the manager had the combination, and that she was outside.
At that time, deputies said Lowrance then ordered the three victims out of the business and started to approach the manager, who was able to get in her vehicle and leave.
Deputies said Lowrance then fired several shots toward her vehicle. Lowrance then demanded the victims re-enter the store, but they advised him that they were unable to because the door locked as they exited. He then fired at the three victims, before he fled on foot.
Deputies said warrants were signed on Thursday against Lowrance for one count of attempted armed robbery; one count of possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime; four counts of attempted murder; three counts of kidnapping; and one count of criminal conspiracy.
Lowrance is approximately 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighs about 160 pounds.
