Superintendent Fisher Honored for Commitment to Education
Two school board members recognized for their service.
During Monday's Greenville County School board meeting, there was reason to celebrate.
Dr. Phinnize J. Fisher was recognized at the January School Board meeting by County Councilman Joe Dill, who presented her with a County Council Proclamation declaring Jan. 24, as Dr. Phinnize J. Fisher Day in Greenville County.
The proclamation recognized Fisher for her commitment to public education and her service to Greenville County Schools. It also cited many of her most recognized accomplishments, including the successful school construction program, the continued increase in student test scores and her focus on developing the whole child.

Also recognized at the meeting were two board members, Pat Sudduth (Area 18) and Chuck Saylors (Area 20).
Sudduth and Saylors were recognized for their 10 years of service to Greenville County Schools. Both members were honored with a letter, a 10-year pin and a certificate from the South Carolina School Boards Association in recognition of their service.
