Taylors Man Arrested at State Baseball Playoff Game With Loaded Gun
Incident occurred during Boiling Springs-Mauldin playoff game on Thursday at Mauldin High School.

Mauldin Police say a 19-year-old Taylors man was arrested on Thursday for possessing a loaded gun on school property. Benjamin Walter Bruns was charged after he was spotted by a resident outside the Boiling Springs-Mauldin state playoff game showing a 38-caliber revolver to a female passenger in his car.
At the same time, a chorus concert was letting out of the high school auditorium.
The weapon was located after Bruns consented to a search of his vehicle. According to the police report Bruns said he carries the gun for protection for his job at a liquor store.

Bruns has been charged with having a weapon on school property and disturbing schools.
