MAVS BOOSTER CLUB - BUY YOUR MEMBERSHIP NOW
Mauldin High is blessed to have great coaches and programs available to our students. The MAVS Booster Club supports the entire athletic program of Maudlin High School and each of its athletic teams. This year Coach Frady has designated that $319,547 is the amount needed to fund our programs. Out of that amount the district covers $243,503 leaving $ 76,044 for the Booster Club to raise.
One of the best ways to support our teams is to buy a Booster Club Membership. Purchasing a membership makes you a Booster Club member and shows your support to our program. All families who have athletes that play for a team should be a member of the booster club. You can join simply by making a $25 donation, but a membership at a higher level will earn you more benefits.
The best way for our students to show support is to buy a Student Membership. By paying $50 students get an All-Sport pass that pays for their entrance into all regular season home games for ALL SPORTS. This is more than 200 events. If students buy this membership the money goes directly to the Booster Club to support our Mauldin athletes only and students can show up at as many events as they want to cheer our teams on. Similar memberships are available this year for Seniors and also for adults with the Orange Maverick.
For families who attend more than one sport the Silver Membership is for you. For $250 you receive two All Sport Passes, but your student also receives $75 off of their team shoes that they purchase during the year. For teams that do not buy shoes, the team decides on another item. Last year the swim team used the funds to purchase their swimsuits and boy's lacrosse used it for their gloves. Sliver Members are entitled to reserved seating and parking at the football games. Also for the first time ever, if a Silver Member has a 1st to 8th grader, families can buy a Lil' Mavs pass for $25. If families attended 12 home events, this is nearly a break even for the family.Â
12 events x $6 per ticket = $72 x two people = $144
          Money off of shoes                                             $75
Total value not even counting reserved seating     $19
Additional savings if you have a Lil' MAV: 72-25 = $47
          Value from the pass                                          $266
Â
If you buy the pass all funds go to directly support our Mauldin Athletes. Please consider buying a membership today. The blitz on Aug. 21 is a great time to turn in your application but applications can be turned into the front office at any time.
Here is this year's membership application.
CALLING ALL ATHLETES AND PARENTS TO HELP OUT DURING THE MAVS BLITZ - 2-5 p.m. on SUNDAY, AUG. 21
The MAVS Blitz is the event during which all Mauldin Athletes canvas neighborhoods and solicit Booster Club Memberships and donations. In one day we raise over $30,000. We need all athletes from all teams to show up that day and work. When you are done about 4 p.m. you will be served a hot dog dinner to thank you for your efforts. Parents of athletes - we need you to drive the athletes to a neighborhood to canvas. We plan on having about 100 cars drive so we need 100 parents to volunteer to drive! Please let you team's booster club rep know if you can drive.Â
Please email Vicki Bynum, vbynum@charter.net, if you can help out with any of the following for the hot dog dinner:
FOOD ITEMS NEEDED: 12 pack canned drinks - Pepsi products only; baked cookies or brownies - trays/platters are great;Â a case of individual chip bags
PEOPLE NEEDED THAT DAY BESIDES DRIVERS: People to help count money; to help cook hot dogs and serve at the cookout.
Congratulations to the 2011 Walk for the Homeless art and tagline contest winners!

Thanks to everyone for your eager participation and for sharing your creative talents. Can't wait to see you at the 21st Annual Walk for the Homeless on Sunday, Oct. 2. Have a wonderful summer!

Looking for a way to help Mauldin High School but "feeling the pinch" in your pocketbook?
Use your Bi-Lo Bonuscard and your Publix Partners Card every time you shop and you'll earn one percent in cash for our school. You won't even feel it, but our school sure will! Last year, through these two grocery rewards programs, our school earned over $2700 that was used for programs and supplies to help our school, teachers, and your student!Â
Each school year you must update your Bilo Bonuscard by scanning the new Boostersplus card once; thereafter, just use your regular Bonuscard every time you shop. This ensures your account is set for Mauldin High to earn the reward for the August through May time frame.
The Publix Partners card does not need to be updated annually. Just make sure Mauldin High School PTSA is on the back of it and our school earns the credit.
Cards will be sent home in the first day packet but you may also pick them up in the front office throughout the year!
Do your part, put them on your key ring, and start using your rewards cards today!
Electronics Recycled Here!
Got clutter? Consider recyling your:
- Cell Phones
- Inkjet & Laser Cartridges
- iPods
- Video Games & Consoles
- DVDs
- Digital Cameras
- PDAs
- Laptops
The MHS Media Center will send them to Recycle Forward. Recycling will earn MHS school cash to buy new technology.
Turn Your Unwanted Phones Into Cash for Our Athletes
Do you have any unwanted cell phones at home? Our athletes sure could put them to good use. Simply bring in the old phone, working or not working, and put it in the collection box in the school office. The MAVS Booster Club will then turn them over to an organization that will pay us from $1 to $10 for each cell phone donated. That organization then refurbishes the phones and gives them to charitable organizations. Your unwanted phones could help literally seed a field at Mauldin High this year so please collect and bring in your phones today. Phones will be collected during the rest of this year.Â
Senior Pages
- Yearbook staff will send out forms in mid July
- Forms will be mailed to the home address guidance currently has on file.
- Information will be available on the website as well
- Deadline for purchase will be Aug. 26.
