Tolls Rise on Southern Connector
It will now cost $3 to drive the full 16 miles of the highway for two-axle vehicles to drive the roadway.

Toll prices are increasing on the Southern Connector in Greenville.
Today marks the first day that drivers on the connector will pay an increased fee to drive the 16-mile roadway also known as Highway 185.
Drivers will now pay $1.50 to get on the roadway, which acts as a southern bypass of Greenville, and again to exit at the end of the roadway, according to the website for the highway.

Tolls at Fork Shoals and SC 20 ramps will remain 75 cents.

The nonprofit that manages the toll road filed for bankruptcy last year, and all sides in the matter agreed to the toll increase. The agreement sets the next toll increase for 2016.
