
Mauldin High grad and former USC star Scott Wingo hit his first homerun of the year last night for Rancho Cucamonga in the Quakes 11-4 win over California League foe Lancaster.
Wingo's shot came as part of a seven-run first inning that allowed the Quakes to cruise to a win that broke a two-game losing streak. Rancho Cucamonga is now 28-30 on the season and have spent most of 2012 at or near the .500 mark.
