Citadel Cleared of ReVille Criminal Charges

S.C. Law Enforcement Division says Citadel committed no crimes.

The Citadel did not commit any crimes when in 2007 it did not contact police when the school received reports from a young man claiming to have been molested at a summer camp by Louis "Skip" ReVille in 2001, according to a letter from the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division.

"It was determined that there was no sufficient evidence found to warrant criminal prosecution or further investigation. SLED has, therefore, administratively closed this file," according to the letter obtained by ABCNews4.

Lawyers involved in various civil lawsuits related to the Citadel and ReVille's conduct have alleged that the school failed to report the crime, which violated the state's mandatory reporter laws.
