When the alleged victim woke up, she discovered she was covered in blood from her broken nose and split lip, she told officers. She only remembered being dragged on the floor and then kicked in the ribs before apparently passing out.

Officers at the hospital observed the woman with dried blood in her hair and on her feet. A "pile of towels" on the floor were covered in blood, the officer wrote. A nurse said the woman would need stitches for a severe tear in her lip. Her broken nose would also need treatment, the report states.

The victim also had two black eyes and carpet burn on one of her knees be allegedly being dragged on the carpet, the report states. The victim is not identified here in accordance with Patch's policy not to identify domestic violence victims.

After seeing the injuries, officers went to McCroskey's home, but he wasn't there. They then went to his mother's house, but she told officers she had not seen him. Officers searched the property and found the man crouched down behind a shed in a back corner of the property, the report states.

The suspect initially denied knowledge of the injuries, but eventually gave a written statement to officers. That statement was not included in the initial incident report released this week.

In addition to the criminal domestic violence of a high and aggravated nature charge, McCroskey also faces a DUI charge from April. He's free on bond on both charges.

Woman Arrested for Drinking Daiquiri in Walmart

Most store clerks bend the rules when customers grab a soda and drink it while shopping. But drinking the alcoholic beverages is a new take on that flexibility.

A 25-year-old suspect found that out recently when officers arrested her for disorderly conduct after she caused a commotion as she sipped on one of the frozen alcoholic beverages while shopping at the Wando Crossing Walmart, according to a report.

Officers responded to the store around 12:30 a.m. to reports a of a drunk patron. Apparently Farran Brooke Morrow was trying to pay for the frozen drink but could not locate her ATM card.

She started asking other customers to purchase the drink for her, and she wanted to use one of the employee's cell phones, the report states. Morrow did apparently pay for the beverage, but she still was arrested for causing a scene.

While in the back of the police cruiser, Morrow asked the officer to cut her a break.

"While transporting Mrs. Morrow to (the jail), she asked me if I could pull over and let her out and that I could say she escaped," the officer wrote.

Man Arrested While Hitch-Hiking on Ravenel Bridge

It's not the safest place to hitch a ride, so when officers saw a 30-year-old North Carolina man trying to flag down motorists on the southbound side of the Ravenel Bridge, they had to step in.

Predictably, the man was intoxicated, the report states, and he was unaware of the convenient pedestrian lane on the northbound side of the bridge.

Officers wanted to just give Brian Gilmor Hall a ride home, the report states. He had already fallen and was bleeding, officers observed, but the suspect wouldn't tell officers where he was headed.

After repeated efforts to take the suspect to his destination, officers arrested the man on public drunkenness charges and booked him into the jail, the report states.
