More Human Remains Uncovered
Utility workers find remains of unmarked graves in Old Village.

An $850,000 water system overhaul has come to a halt in Mount Pleasant's Old Village following the discovery of six sets of human remains,
Police and the coroner were first called out the scene when workers found a skull and other bones just outside the Ocean Grove Cemetery. Ground-penetrating radar later showed six additional sets of bones and work on a new drain line was halted, according to the Post and Courier.
After digging about three feet down, the outline of grave shafts became visible in areas where the presence of the bones was identified by radar, the newspaper reported.
