Newsweek 'World's Best' Names 2 Local Restaurants
101 Best Places to East in the World includes two Charleston eateries.

The accolades continue to pile up for two downtown Charleston restaurants.
Husk, named last year as the Best New Restaurant in the U.S. by Bon Apetit magazine, and its sister restaurant McCrady's, have been named to Newsweek's 101 Best Places to Eat in the World.
The issue on stands Aug. 13 features the best dining spots across the world as chosen by 53 "of the finest chefs."

Husk's chef Sean Brock was praised by New York chef Michael Anthony for preparing food that makes diners "fall in love with the flavors of the Lowcountry," the magazine reports.
McCrady's chef de cuisine Jeremiah Langhorne was similarly praised for "inventive, ethereal and transcendent" cooking by Athens, Ga., chef Hugh Acheson.

Both restaurants feature locally grown food with new-age southern influences. Sean Brock was the executive chef at McCrady's before stepping out to found Husk.
