Inside the vehicle, the officer saw the 33-year-old victim with a bleeding leg apparently caused by a gunshot, the report states. The man said he didn't want to pay for an EMS transport, so his friend was rushing him downtown for medical care.

Officers escorted the vehicle to Roper Hospital, but once there the man stated he did not know who shot him and he didn't remember any of the events leading up to his injuries, the report states.

Officers for a time blocked the entrances to the club and attempted to question patrons. Since both the victim and the patrons were not cooperating, officers allowed everyone to go home. Police spokesman Capt. Stan Gragg said the victim has not cooperated in their investigation.

Police searched the exterior of the club for any evidence, but the initial incident report indicates no evidence of the shooting was located.
