Limehouse Secures Re-Election; Gawrych Topples Moseley
Rep. Chip Limehouse trounces political newcomer; Paul Gawrych takes out out incumbent Auditor Peggy Moseley.

Voter turnout was a dismal 3.3 percent across Charleston County Tuesday as voters went to polls for several primary contests.
In Mount Pleasant, voters were asked to nominate a Republican for House District 110. Rep. Chip Limehouse had a decisive win against political newcomer Peter vonLehe Ruegner.
In the race for Charleston County Auditor, former Mount Pleasant Town Councilman Paul Gawrych handed a defeat to incumbent Peggy Moseley. With 50.76 percent of the vote, he also managed to avoid a runoff in the three-man contest.

There is no Democratic challenger in the House race, but Gawrych now must face Democrat Peter Tecklenburg in November.
