Yorktown Aims to Set Guiness Record
Students will line up shoes along USS Yorktown flight deck.

Students participating in Patriots Point Naval & Maritime Museum’s summer educational camp will have an opportunity to be a part of history! Guinness Book of World Records officials have confirmed that on Friday, June 15, they will set the record for the longest line of shoes to traverse an aircraft carrier flight deck.
This event will conclude Patriots Point’s inaugural summer educational camp, hosted in partnership with the Town of Mount Pleasant. Throughout the week, students participated in a variety of programs and activities, including: entomology, botany, aviation, history, robotics and oceanography. Each activity features structured curriculum in a format that is exciting and fun.
Future camps are scheduled for July 23-27 and August 6-10.
