Harmony Garden Dedication Ceremony, Spring Planting Starts Today
Simpsonville's new community garden will grow fresh produce to benefit God's Pantry. Public invited to attend dedication.

The Harmony Garden, a new community garden in Simpsonville, will begin its spring planting and hold a grand opening today at 10 a.m.Β
Volunteers started the garden last year and had their first planting in the fall, growing 99 pounds of produce that were donated to God's Pantry. Spring plantings also will go to the pantry.
Volunteers plan to plant cucumbers and green beans today. This springβs planting also will include tomatoes, sweet potatoes, squash, peppers and okra.
The garden is located along Academy Street between the Simpsonville Fine Arts Center and the Police Department.
The garden is open to all, although small children are discouraged from attending. However, plans are in the works to create a childrenβs garden.
