Hillcrest Rams Roll Over Rock Hill in 4A Playoffs

Sophomores Randall Shaw and Tyler Hooker combined to score 39 points — and state player of the year Tre Smith added 19 — as the Hillcrest Rams rolled over the Rock Hill Bearcats’ 76-58 in the second round of the upper-state 4A basketball playoffs Monday night.

“They shot the ball extremely well,” Rock Hill head coach Eric Rollings told the Rock Hill Herald. “They are a good basketball team, and they showed that tonight.”

The top-seeded and second-ranked Rams (23-3) now advance to the third round of the playoffs. Rock Hill, who knocked off defending state champion Gaffney last week to reach the second round, finishers its season at 19-8.
