Obituary: Dorothy "Dot" West of Simpsonville

Dorothy "Dot" Blanche Mayfield West, 90, widow of James Nelson West, passed away Sunday March 17, 2013.

Mrs. West was born December 17, 1922 in Simpsonville, SC to the late Smith Newton Mayfield and Ada Lenora Vaughn Mayfield. She was a member of Unity Baptist Church.

Surviving are a son, Ricky West; brother, J.C Mayfield; sister, June Goodwin; grandchild, Logan Barton. She was predeceased by a sister, Belle Mayfield.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday at Unity Baptist Church, officiated by Pastor Larry Ledford. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Family will have visitation 6-8 p.m. Monday at Fletcher Funeral Service.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Unity Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, 1000 Fairview Road, Simpsonville, S.C. 29681. The family will be at the home, 845 Fairview Road, Simpsonville.
