Obituary: Dorothy Grassie
Funeral services for Grassie, of Fountain Inn, will be held Friday at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church in Simpsonville.
Dorothy Gesinsky Grassie, 74, Widow of William "Bill" Anthony Grassie, died Monday February 18, 2013.
Mrs. Grassie was born, February 6, 1939, to the late Michael Gesinsky and Mary Ann Turek Gensinsky in Everson, Pa. She was active in the VFW Auxilary and attended St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church.
Surviving are two sons, Dwayne Grassie, and wife Martha Ann, and Brian Grassie; two daughters, Rebecca Garrett, and husband David, and Renee Grassie; two sisters, Bernadette Evans, and Jane Bergle; seven grandchildren, Josh, Shane, Hannah, Braeden, Emily, Ryan, Abbi and three great grandchildren Bryant, Jakob, and Branton.
She was predeceased by two brothers, Raymond Gesinski, and William Gesinsky.
Visitation will be held 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Fletcher Funeral Service. Funeral services will be held 12 p.m. Friday at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, officiated by Father Patrick Cooper. Burial will follow in Graceland East Cemetery.
