Obituary: Mark "Bill" Polo of Simpsonville
Local construction company owner died Wednesday after a brief illness.

Mark William (Bill) Polo, 54, of Simpsonville, SC, died at Saint Francis Hospital, Greenville, on February 27, 2013, after a short illness.
He was a member of the Simpsonville United Methodist Church. He was a graduate of Greenville Technical College, SC. He served in the Seabees, the construction battalions for the US Navy, where he learned industrial paving, grading, and construction of sea walls, roads and air strips, experience he continued to use working in companies such as Fluor-Daniels Construction, and his own Mark W. Polo Construction.Β
Mark is survived by his two sons. Jason Paul Polo, wife Dee and step-grandsons Chase and Logan Rogers of Simpsonville, SC. John Jay Polo, wife Amanda and grandson Jack Williams of Effingham, IL. He is survived by his mother, Mary Church Polo of Simpsonville, SC, sister Lynn and husband Mahesh Dedhiya of Simpsonville, SC, sister Susan and husband Doug Sheeks of Greer, SC, brother John Polo of Trumbull, CT, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles. He dearly loved each and every one.
He is pre-deceased by his beloved wife, Rhonda Polo; Thomas Polo, brother, and Carmine Polo, father.
Funeral arrangements will be private.
