Police: Gambling Equipment, Cash Seized from Two Simpsonville Businesses
Equipment and money seized during alcohol beverage license inspections conducted with SLED.

Simpsonville Police and a State Law Enforcement Division agent recently seized money and five gambling machines from two local businesses, police reports said.
During alcohol beverage license inspections last week, police said they seized three illegal table-top gambling machines along with $936 in cash from GGZ at 643 SE Main St., one report said.
Police said gambling pay-out games were concealed on the machines, but showed up on the gaming menu once money was inserted, the report indicated. A clerk at the store said the store paid out in small amounts from the cash register, the report said. The case has since been turned over to SLED for investigation.
In another inspection, two machines and $1,328 in cash was seized from the Short Stop convenience store, located at 430 SE Main St., another report said.

The games and the money were all seized and placed into evidence, the report said.
