Police: Woman Allegedly Pulls Gun During Road Rage Incident
Fountain Inn woman facing charge from incident last week in downtown Simpsonville.

Simpsonville Police have charged a Fountain Inn woman for allegedly pulling and waving her gun around during an apparent road-rage incident last week at a downtown intersection.
The victim told police he turned left onto West Curtis Street when he noticed 54-year-old Jeri Pilon Cooper following closely behind and crossing the center line, yelling profanities, "flicking him off" and motioning for him to pull over, an incident report said. The victim said he slowed down to flip Cooper off, before driving on, the report said.
When the victim was stopped at a red light on West Curtis, he said he saw Cooper turn around the block and approach him on West Curtis, stopping her car in the middle of the street and again yelling obscenities at him, the report said. The victim said he began yelling back at Cooper in the roadway when she suddenly pulled a silver .327 revolver from her center console and began waving it around, the report said.
"[The victim] stated that he told the female to stop because what she was doing was illegal and that she needed to leave. He also told the female that he also had a gun but never pulled it out," the report said.
Once the light turned green, the victim stated he proceeded to the police department to file his complaint.
Contacted later by police, Cooper alleged the same truck had cut her off the day before and that she confronted him after he had allegedly called her a "b_tch" out his open window, the report said. An officer noted, however, that Cooper was unable to answer some specific questions about the gun-pulling incident, but didn't deny it happened, the report said.
After reviewing both statements and conferring with Municipal Court Judge Marie Feld, police arrested and charged Cooper with one count of pointing and presenting a firearm. Cooper was subsequently released by Feld on a $3,000 bond, the report said.
