Simpsonville Church Conference Spotlights Adoption
Hundreds attend Focus on the Family conference on adoption at Simpsonville First Baptist.

Nearly 500 people came out Saturday to find out more on how to adopt the many children now in the state's Foster Care system.
The throng congregated at First Baptist Church of Simpsonville for the church's "Wait No More" conference, put on by the church and Focus on the Family. They assembled to learn more about the many children waiting to be adopted, how the state's adoption process works, and how to help support adoptive families, WSPA reported.
'What we're really asking for is families who have an open heart, an open mind, and a willingness to just be, on how the Lord would guide them on behalf of these kids," Katie Overstreet, of Focus on the Family, told the station.
Representatives of SC's Department of Social Services also were on hand to answer questions and start the adoption process for families ready to begin the journey.
