Simpsonville Man Arrested on Kidnapping, Assault, Robbery Charges
Ketry Miller's charges stem from an alleged attack on his mother and a friend.

A Simpsonville man is facing multiple charges stemming from an alleged attack on his mother and a friend, a Simpsonville Police incident report said.
Ketry Brian Miller, 27, of 6 Chessington Lane in Simpsonville was arrested recently after his mother and an out-of-town friend alleged Miller attacked the pair in the family's home on April 11, the report said.
Miller's mother and the friend both told police that Miller was at the home and became highly agitated with his mother, then turned violent, pushing his mother onto a bed and beating her about the body, the report said.
The report said Miller detained the two in the home while he yelled at them for money, and threatened to kill them with a knife from the kitchen.Β
The mother was able to escape the home, the report said. She was discovered some time later cowering on a neighbor's porch.
Meantime, Miller continued to threaten his friend with physical harm if he didn't give him his debit card, the report said. The friend, who was on crutches for a leg injury, said Miller threatened to injure his leg further, and also threatened to choke him, the report said.Β
The friend ultimately gave Miller his card, and the suspect fled on his moped, the report said. He was arrested some time later.
Miller faces charges of kidnapping, first-degree assault and battery, simple assault, and strong armed robbery. He remains without bond in the Greenville County Detention Center, according to jail records.
