Sippin’ in Simpsonville Set for Saturday Night

Fourth annual event will take place downtown on May 4. Good drinks, good eats, and good times await.

The fourth Sippin’ in Simpsonville event happens on Saturday, May 4. This event will be a wine tasting tour through local businesses located within a block of the iconic Simpsonville Clock Tower.

Designed as a sip-and-stroll event, this tour will take participants into 15 stores where they will be treated to a tasting of 15 different locally manufactured wines, including selections from City Scape, Victoria Falls, and Enoree River. Each wine tasting will be paired with a bite of food designed to highlight that wine.

Registration for the event starts at 6 p.m. at the clock tower. About the time participants finish their walking tour, the live music will start on Main Street. Decadent Daze, an 80’s cover band, will kickoff the street party portion of the event around 7:30 pm.

Like all Sippin’ events, a local non-profit organization will be featured.  This event’s featured non-profit is the Center for Community Services, located on Howard Drive between Simpsonville and Fountain Inn.

"The Sippin’ in Simpsonville organizers are proud to highlight the Center for Community Services," said Mark Rodeffer. "For this event we have donated everything necessary for the Center to participate as one of our featured tasting locations. Our goal in doing this is to let the community know about the Center and it’s offerings and to let them know about the kinds of services offered right here in Simpsonville."

Tickets for this Sippin’ event are $20 in advance, $25 the day of the event, and each participant will receive a souvenir wine glass, a lanyard with directs them to our tasting locations, and of course the wine tastings, appetizers, and access to the street party afterwards. The general public is invited out to the street party to listen to Decadent Daze.

Advance tickets can be purchased at: Boutique of Dreams, Ice Cream Station, Southern Galleries, Thai Cuisine, Eye Candy, Redline Loft, A Tripp in Time, Event Décor & More, Me Salon & Day Spa, Shear Envy, United Hospice, SAFI, P. Simpsons, and the Center for Community Services.
