Where to Celebrate "National Day of Prayer" in the Golden Strip

Thursday is the National Day of Prayer. Here's where to gather to celebrate it in Mauldin, Simpsonville, and Fountain Inn.

  • National Day of Prayer will be observed from 12:15-12:45 p.m. May 2 at Simpsonville United Methodist Church, 215 S.E. Main St.
  • Eastminster Presbyterian Church, 2240 Woodruff Road, Simpsonville, will hold a special worship service on the National Day of Prayer at 6:30 p.m. May 2 in its outdoor worship area. In case of rain, the service will be inside.
  • The Mauldin observance of the National Day of Prayer will be from noon-1 p.m. May 2 at Mauldin City Hall, 5 E. Butler Road. It will feature pastors from various denominations leading prayer, and a medley of patriotic songs. In case of rain, the event will be held in the Cultural Center, 101 E. Butler Road.
  • The Fountain Inn observance of National Day of Prayer will start at 11:30 a.m. at City Hall, 200 N. Main St. The rain location is the banquet hall at the Center for the Visual and Performing Arts, 315 N. Main St.
