Accused Hit-and-Run Driver Faces Felony Charges

Police say Daniel Sena was impaired when he crashed into a couple riding a motorcycle Saturday on North Main Street.

A Summerville man faces two felony DUI charges after he allegedly wrecked his vehicle into a motorcycle and fled the scene Saturday, according to a Live 5 News report.

Daniel Sena received two charges of felony DUI resulting in great bodily injury, hit and run with great bodily injury, driving under suspension and possession with intent to distribute cocaine. He has a bond of $79,979.50, and remains at Hill-Finklea Detention Center as of Monday afternoon, according to the detention center's website.

The couple on the motorcycle survived the crash, but are injured. According to Live 5 News, Rick Wright has broken bones and Cindy Wright has a head injury.

The wreck occurred 8:30 p.m. Saturday on North Main Street and police arrested Sena shortly after the incident. Sena was booked just after 1 a.m. Sunday.

Live 5 News reported Sena is scheduled to appear in court in December.
