Amnesty Offered for Outstanding Bench Warrants
Summerville Police will not arrest those wanted for outstanding bench warrants now through Dec. 1 if they pay their fines.
The Summerville Police Department and the Summerville Municipal Court are conducting a bench warrant amnesty program beginning Tuesday through Dec. 1.
Those with outstanding bench warrants will not be arrested if they visit the municipal court 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Monday through Friday at 200 S. Main St. and pay their fines.Â
The amnesty is not extended to arrest warrants.

Bench warrants are generated if someone does not attend their court date or failed to complete time payments.Â
