Linda Rogers Dubbed 2012 District Counselor of the Year

Dorchester County School District Two has named Linda Rogers as 2012 District Counselor of the Year.

A veteran educator of 21 years, Rogers has served as an elementary counselor in the district for 18 years. She has provided classroom, small group, and individual guidance and counseling services to the children and families at Eagle Nest Elementary for the past five years.

"I see immense need in our schools but I also am constantly amazed by the resiliency and strength of the children with whom I work," Rogers said in a statement. “All children should have a safe haven where they can be themselves without fear of rejection and I will strive to make my school that place.”

There are 68 counselors serving in 22 Dorchester District Two schools.
