Back to School: What You Need to Know About Registration

Students who will be attending Dorchester District Two schools for the 2012-2013 school year should register during Fact and Fee days on August 7 and 8.

Both days have registration from 7 a.m.-1 p.m. and 3-7 p.m.

Current and new students should register at the school they will be attending and should bring a current utility bill that includes a service address in parent/guardian’s name to verify residency. There is a $20 registration fee that is used for materials and resources at the student’s school.

The following documentation is needed for new students:

• A birth certificate
• A South Carolina Immunization for DHEC 1148 available from the Dorchester County Health Department or any physician’s office
• A proof of residence in the form of a utility bill in the parent/guardian name with current service address

Meet the teacher will be later this month, here is that schedule:

• Middle schools — 6-7:30 p.m. Aug. 15
• Elementary schools — 6-7:30 p.m. Aug. 16
• High schools — 6:30-8 p.m. Aug. 28
