Body Discovered near West Ashley Walmart

A man walking in the woods near off of Bees Ferry discovered a badly decomposed body at around 5 p.m. Wednesday, according to Live 5 News. 

According to Live 5 News:

Charleston Police Department Spokesman Charles Francis says that the investigation of the body is not related to Gayle McCaffrey, who's been missing for about a month. The Charleston County Sheriff's Office, who's been investigating McCaffrey's disappearance, says they are not involved in the investigation of the body found in West Ashley.

Charleston County Sheriff's Office Public Information Officer Mjr. James Brady confirmed that the body is not connected to the McCaffrey case via email Wednesday evening.
